Just a day with you dad

If I can be with you dad

For just a day of your stolen time

So I can walk with you

And feel peace within me

You are forever busy

Day after day of October

Weary from work, so you have to finish

We seldom talk, seldom shared

If I can be with you dad my heart says

I have never understood you

Your anger, your frustration on your heart

But like the confusion that exist

I can only accept

You forced me to move on, to seek and to find

The meaning of life, love and affection

You teach me not by teaching 

You give so much meaning in my life’s journey

And you never know why

You are everything to me dad

From your heart and your hand

In my brittleness, I encounter no obstacles

I hear from within the meaning of life

I beg of you dad

Let me walk with you for a day

My heart and our relationship will be sad no more

The past had gone by

I long for calm and peace

For we now both know

We have done the best that we can

From the height of my thoughts

In brightness, in love, and in peace and in forgiveness

So that you may have more than you need.
